The National Central Library held the “112th Taiwan Academic Resource Energy Landscape Report Launching Conference” on April 26th in order to encourage the academic community to authorize and share research results with the public in order to spread knowledge. The National Central Library of Taiwan awarded the first place in the authorization rate of e-dissertations in the group of public universities. CPU was awarded for the “Award for Openness in Dissertations and Theses Rate of Authorization of Electronic Full Texts in Dissertations and Theses by the National Central Library of Taiwan.
This award is based on the National Library's statistical data of “ the National Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations System for Doctoral and Master's Theses”, in which the ranking of the full-text authorization rate of degree theses is based on the “number of full-text e-authorizations in the 111th academic year of each university” divided by the “number of dissertations in the 111th academic year of each university” in terms of percentage. In addition, according to the statistical data, we have been honored with the National Central Library's “Open Access Award” for several consecutive years since 2020.
This year, the National Central Library awarded CPU the “Open Doctrine Award” again, which reveals that we have made long-term contributions to the promotion of sharing knowledge. It not only represents that the research results of our doctoral and master's theses have been highly valued and cited in relevant academic fields, but also recognizes our outstanding achievements in promoting the openness of academic resources and enhancing the practical value of degree theses in our collections.
